At College Planning Source we connect with universities of all types and sizes to help your student find their perfect match! We have invited universities from across the nation to send a representative or alumni to share a 20 minute presentation and answer your questions. Both parents and students are invited to attend and learn.

•Monday, March 30th. – Purdue University, Syracuse University & Washington State University
•Monday, April 27th – California State University, San Marcos & Temple University
Three Great Reasons Why You Should Attend Meet the Colleges Night:
1. Get inspired! For the Class of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019: you should learn all you can about college opportunities. Universities each have their own culture and specialty subjects. AND once you find out which colleges you love, you can ask what they are looking for and build a student profile that impresses.
2. On college applications there is almost always a supplemental essay question that asks, “Why do you want to attend our University”? Or “Have you visited our campus? If so, what do you like about it? ” Or “Why do you think our school is a fit for you?” Many students do not visit each of the schools they apply to, however you still need to provide a strong, non-generic answer for these types of questions. Students who have seen a College Representative’s presentation can write about the school in an authentic way even if they have not visited in person.
3. Yes, high schools host college representative tables and fairs. Generally attendance is limited to Juniors and Seniors. Even then, students have about five minutes to visit the table and grab a brochure.
