Congratulations! You have been accepted into the university for the upcoming Spring term. This might be followed by some confusion as to what you will do during the fall semester.

What does this mean? This usually means that their Fall group of students is too large, and/or they anticipate students will graduate in the Spring, so they have additional room for students during this time. Note: not all universities offer a Spring acceptance.

What to do next: Follow the checklist for “Accepted Students,” but ask these questions to the admissions office.

1. What do they recommend students do during the Fall?

2. Where can I take college courses during the Fall term that will transfer to the college in the Spring?

a.  What courses are transferrable?

3. What GPA must I maintain during the Fall term?

4. Housing:

a.  Will I be able to live in the university’s dorm in the Fall term while enrolled in courses at a nearby institution?

b.  If not, is it possible for me to move into the dorms in the Spring?

5. Freshmen Orientation: Is there a Freshmen Orientation for Spring students? If yes, when is it?
