Julia Tushaus

Julia has over ten years of experience as a school counselor in public and private schools across California, as well as supporting students nationwide through an online independent college counseling company. Additionally, she worked for six years as an external reader for the University of California, Irvine.

Julia has a passion for empowering students to find their next steps in life. Her counseling philosophy is that adolescents can have many different paths to personal and professional success. She enjoys guiding students and their families through the high school journey and college application process to achieve post-secondary goals. Julia has helped students procure offers of admission to hundreds of universities.

As a true Californian, she has lived in every major city in the state. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Julia moved away to earn a BA in Psychology and Education from UC Davis and a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She is now settling down in San Diego with her husband and wild rescue dog named Gouda.
