Chika O.

Chika is a life-long New Yorker and an Essay Specialist for College Planning Source. While earning her bachelor’s degree in Science & Technology Studies at Cornell University, she was able to blend her passion for science with her natural talent for proofreading and copy editing. She then earned a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and eventually entered the field of education and academic consulting.

Chika uses her tutoring, advising, and copy editing skills to serve young people in a variety of ways. In particular, she has helped many students craft the high-quality essays they needed to get into top universities across the country. Her emphasis on detail, clarity, concision, and constructive feedback brings out the best in every piece of writing.

 In her free time, Chika enjoys cooking, listening to all kinds of music, and publishing her father’s poetry books.
