When the school year begins, students rush to grab spots in the clubs they want to be a part of. Of course, some of them will drop out of the club throughout the year. But if you want to secure a spot in the club of your choice from the beginning of the year, you have to be quick. Here are a few tips to help you make a good decision.
- Get a list of the available clubs – You need to know what is out there so you can make a quick decision. You want it to be well thought out, but you also don’t want to miss out on the best club for you because you waited too long and spots filled up.
- Go to the informational meeting – Clubs usually have an introductory meeting to encourage students to join, and there, you will learn what the club is all about. It’s definitely an essential part of the decision-making process.
- Bring someone with you – If you join a club with one of your friends, you know that there will be at least one person in the group that you already have a bond with. It will make it easier to see things through if the club doesn’t end up being as fun as you expected.
