tips-college-application-organized

If you are applying to a number of colleges, then you understand how much work is involved and how vital it is to keep organized if you are going to submit the right things to each school on time. So today, we’re going to provide you with a few tips to help you keep your profile, essays, and applications in order.

  • Try color coding – A simple way to keep things in order is to get a different color folder for each school you are applying to. Be sure to label them, too, so that you don’t forget which school is associated with each color. These folders will give you easily distinguishable places to put your applications, essays, letters of recommendation, and more.
  • Create a spreadsheet – Whether you are using Sheets, Excel, or another spreadsheet app, this can be a great way to keep everything on schedule. Spreadsheets may seem like an old-school way to stay organized, but being able to create columns with check boxes and due dates in a simple manner may be all it takes to get everything completed and sent off in a timely manner.
  • Stay ahead of the game – The most important thing is to complete tasks well ahead of schedule so you are not rushing. From your favorite reach school to the last safety school on your list, you don’t want to take the risk of having to rush any of your applications.
