Great news: the Common Application has confirmed that juniors can create a Common Application account now and fill out the basic information, which can be rolled over for the 2016-2017 application cycle. Think about how great it will be to have that part of the application done, leaving you time to focus on essays! The Common Application is also a great blueprint for other applications (if colleges you’re applying to do not use the Common Application) – You will need to compile all the same information, as well as list out your awards and activities. Getting the groundwork done early will maximize the time to work with your College Planning Source counselor to perfect your activity descriptions and essays! We will be holding Common Application workshops at the end of March and early April for students to come in and get this work done early. The more you get done now, the better!
If you’re not with College Planning Source, you can go to www.commonapp.org to get started on your own.
Be sure to start narrowing down your balanced list of schools now to get organized for the summer/fall application season!
